This Privacy Policy describes how Penguin Video Compressor ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.

Information you provide: We do not require you to create an account or provide personal data to use the app.

Device and usage: The app may collect anonymous crash and performance data (e.g. via Firebase Crashlytics) to improve stability. This can include device model, OS version, and crash logs, but we do not use this to identify you personally.

Videos and files: Video compression is performed on your device. We do not upload your videos or media to our servers. Selected videos and compressed outputs stay on your device unless you choose to share or save them elsewhere.

2. Permissions We Use

• Photo/Media Library: To let you select videos from your gallery for compression and to save compressed videos.
• Storage (Android): To read and write video files when you choose save locations.

We only access media and storage to provide the compression and save features you request.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide and improve the video compression service.
• Diagnose and fix crashes and technical issues.
• Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.

4. Third-Party Advertising and Revenue

The app displays third-party advertisements to support development and maintenance. These ads are provided by external ad networks (e.g. Google AdMob or similar). We do not control what data those networks collect. Ad networks may collect or use:

• Device identifiers (e.g. advertising ID)
• IP address and approximate location
• App usage and interaction data
• Information used to show relevant ads and measure ad performance

This data is governed by each ad network's own privacy policy. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings (e.g. "Limit Ad Tracking" on iOS, "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android).

Crash and diagnostics data are retained only as long as necessary for analysis and then removed. Your videos and files remain on your device under your control.

We use industry-standard measures to protect any data we process. Processing of your videos happens locally on your device.

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.
